Bears earn medals at L&C meet

RANDOLPH — The LCC wrestlers picked up a trio of medals in the Lewis & Clark Conference tournament on Thursday and scored three more at the Oakland-Craig Invitational on Saturday.

In the conference meet at Randolph, Ethan Williams earned a runner-up finish, losing a close 10-8 decision to Michael Logue of Ponca in the finals at 220 pounds. He was one of two Bears to medal at that weight, as Fischer Carson earned consolation honors with a second-period pin overJulio Tellez of Plainview.

Lenny Schumer also picked up a medal at 170 pounds. He was in a three-man round-robin and lost to both Noah Scott of Randolph and Bryce Zimmerer of Creighton.

Cody Martin and Levi Jackson both finished sixth in their respective brackets at 132 and 152 pounds. Nolan Ohlrich was seventh at 145.
