Bears climb in state rankings as they keep adding to their win total

LAUREL — The LCC boys improved to 13-1 on the season with a pair of victories.

The Bears faced Wayne in a rematch of their Great Northeast Nebraska Shootout battle of two weeks earlier, and the Bears earned their second win over the Blue Devils with a 75-54 triumph on Tuesday in Laurel.

The Bears got out to a quick 12-point lead after one period and used a 23-13 run in the third quarter to take control of the game and claim their second win over the Blue Devils this season.

Noah Schutte lit up the Blue Devils for a game-high 33 points and also had 10 rebounds for a double-double to lead LCC. Izac Reifenrath added 14 points and led the team in assists with nine and steals with five. He also had six rebounds in the win.
