A solemn ceremony

Laurel area residents gathered at the school gym Monday to take in Memorial Day services. The veterans gathered for the event included: (above) (back row) Gary Newton, Floyd Bloom, Harry Knudsen, Roy Stohler, Jim Lipp,  (second row) Steve Ebmeier,  Jim Thompson, Regg Ward, Lloyd Luedtke, Gene Twiford, (front row) Dwayne Freeman, and  Shane Kinkaid. (right) Roy Stohler helps carry the Colors in prior to the start of the ceremony. (below) Gary Newton, Harry Knudsen, and Shane Kinkaid salute the flag as the Star Spangled Banner is being sung by Abbie Bloom.
