Local students help brighten lives of area seniors

COLERIDGE — Sometimes, small ideas snowball into a huge successful idea.

This was how the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Student Council’s “Santa for Seniors” fundraising event occurred.

When the Middle School Student Council heard that some of the senior generation are sometimes forgotten during the Holidays, the students stepped up to the challenge to play Santa for the seniors in the nursing homes in Laurel and Coleridge.  

The Middle School Student Council wanted to include the elementary and high school Student Council’s idea of “Santa for Seniors” into the first-ever fundraiser to span through the grade school to high school.
