Harvest season begins

It’s officially fall and that means it’s harvest time. For those farmers itching to get into the fields, some may have to wait. With the recent rains, some fields may still be a little wet yet to work in. The bean crop around the area shows some fields are still green while others are not. With the upcoming week showing only more chances of rain, farmers may have to play the waiting game to get some of those crops out. Rolly and Cindy DeLong work on their fields west of Laurel.
