County gives its approval for a feedlot near Obert

HARTINGTON — Cedar County Commissioners approved the permits last week for a new feed lot to be constructed south of Obert.
Gerald Stewart made the application for the feedlot which holds from 300-999 animal units.
The Planning Committee held a public meeting on the issue prior to making its recommendation that the County give its approval for the permit. Only five people showed up for the meeting, and all questions appeared to be asked and answered satisfactorly, said Zoning Administrator Dave Sudbeck.
