Area residents honor those who died here 75 years ago

LAUREL — Monday marked the 75th anniversary of two B-17 bombers colliding outside of Laurel, killing 17 of the 18 crew members.
To remember the fallen and mark the occasion, the Laurel Veterans Club invited the community to share their stories of the fateful day in August, 1944.
About 100 people came to the Laurel Vets Club to listen to speakers and help honor the fallen soldiers. was too much to bare.”
