WAYNE — Cedar County 4-Hers competed in the District 4-H Horse Show in Wayne June 15. Haley Christensen qualifi ed for State in Junior Western Pleasure and Junior Western Horsemanship. She received purples in both events and was the Grand Champion in Pleasure and Reserve Champion in Horsemanship. Ava Christensen qualifi ed for State in Junior English Pleasure and Junior Western Horsemanship. She received a purple in English Pleasure and a blue in Horsemanship. Berniece McCorkindale qualifi ed for State in Junior Poles and Junior Barrels.

She received a purple in poles, third place and a blue in barrels, and a red in Junior Western Horsemanship. Brian Potts qualifi ed for State in Senior Western Pleasure and Senior Western Horsemanship. He received purples in both events and was in the top four in Pleasure and third place in Horsemanship. Chelsea Potts qualifi ed for State in Junior Western Pleasure, Junior Western Horsemanship, and Junior Barrels. She received blues in Pleasure, Horsemanship, and Barrels and a white in Poles.
