HARTINGTON — The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Senior American Legion baseball team ended the season Sunday in the Area C1 Tournament.

LCC was the sixth seed in the tourney, opening the event Friday with a 16-5 loss to top-seeded Creighton. The game ended early on the run rule.

The game had plenty of early fireworks. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge got off to a good start against Creighton, putting up three early runs, but the top-seeded Bulldogs came back with 12 runs in the bottom of the frame on the way to a 16-5 victory.

Creighton scored its other four runs in the second inning.

Alex Homan picked up the win. Cody Babl took the loss.

The local team bounced back on Saturday, though to earn a 9-5 upset win over fifth-seeded Randolph to eliminate the Cardinal boys.
