Lady Bears compete at Wisner Tourney

WISNER — The LCC Lady Bears went 1-2 and came home with a sixth-place finish in Saturday’s Wisner-Pilger Invitational.

The Lady Bears opened the tournament with a 25-16, 25-15 loss to eventual champion Humphrey St. Francis. Makayla Forsberg and Erica Wolfgram each had four kills in the match, while Erica Benson and Berniece Mc-Corkindale each had three. Kinsey Hall had 13 assists. Cassie Granquist led the defense with five digs, Wolfgram, McCorkindale and Hall each had four, and Jordynn Urwiler and Haley Christensen had three apiece.

The Lady Bears rebounded with an easy win over Madison, 25-12, 25-17. Wolfgram had seven kills, Forsberg added six and Delaney Ehlers had three in the win. Hall had 16 assists and McCorkindale had four ace serves. On defense, Forsberg had eight digs and Wolfgram and Ehlers each had four.
