Cold shooting dooms Bears in pair of losses

LAUREL — After starting the season 5-0, the LCC boys basketball team has dropped five of its last eight after a pair of losses last week.

On Thursday, the Bears and Cedar Catholic played an entertaining matchup at LCC High School, with the visiting Trojans coming back in the second half to post a 74-67 win.

The game was close throughout the first half.

LCC got out to an early 6-0 lead and held a 15-13 advantage after one period. The close play continued in the second period, with the Bears taking a 37-34 lead into the locker room.
