Bears have busy week on the track

WAYNE — The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge track and field teams kept busy with a pair of meets last week.

On Tuesday, the LCC teams took part in the Wayne Invitational, with the girls bringing home nine medals and the boys earning eight.

In boys action, Ryan Bathke, Nolan Ohlrich, Cody Martin and Sam Rose each earned individual medals and as part of a relay team. Bathke took fifth in the 3200 and anchored the runner-up 3200-meter relay team with Landen Boysen, Cody Martin and Sean Ashoff. Ohlrich finished fifth in the pole vault and Rose was fifth in the 400-meter run, and both joined Justin Kinkaid and Wyatt Taylor on the 1600-meter relay that finished sixth. Martin finished sixth in the 300-meter hurdles.
