Bears get one winner at Winch Invitational

LAUREL—TheLaurel- Concord -Coleridge track and field teams competed on their home track for an away meet, participating in Thursday’s Winch Invitational that was hosted by Winside High School at Haskell Field.

The LCC boys came home with at least one medal in all but two events to place third in the nineteam meet, led by Cody Babl’s win in the high jump with a winning lead of 5-feet, 10 inches.

Deagan Puppe, Noah Schutte and Izac Reifenrath were multiple medalists for the Bears. Schutte placed third in the triple jump and was sixth in both the long jump and 100- meter dash. Puppe was the runnerup in the 110-meter hurdles and finished third in the 300-meter hurdles, while Reifenrath placed fifth in the triple jump and sixth in the 200 meter dash.
