Program shares ideas on how to keep kids safe

LAUREL — Concerned citizens gathered at the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge School gym Jan. 2 to learn how to have a strategy to keep children safe with a presentation sponsored by Youth of Immanuel Lutheran Church. The evening started with Rev. Jeff Warner from Immanuel Lutheran Church explaining how the idea for the presentation was born. “It began sometime ago with a concerned parent who approached me after a spring sporting event,” said Rev. Warner. “Someone had seen an unfamiliar vehicle circling the area, with the driver watching her daughters.”
