First day of Spring
The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge First graders got to experience the first full day of spring last week. Madison Olson, Jeremiah Kinkaid and Ryleigh Loberg (above) are doing a little sidewalk art to celebrate spring. (below) Kai Hartung shows his excitement for spring as he races out to enjoy recess, while Hazley Folkers shows off a fresh new baby chick. “Mrs. Springley” sent a box of spring things for the students to go through. It contained baby chicks, flower seeds to plant, and a bird nest with eggs, among other things. Several activities were planned for the day such as a picnic, planting marigold seeds, making birds, spring stories, and jelly bean math.
