County discusses pipeline and bridges

HARTINGTON — Signage for oil pipelines, and county bridges were the main topic of discussion at the Nov. 27 Cedar County Commission meeting.
Cedar County Commissioners were told Nov. 27 that TransCanada pipeline employees will be in Cedar County to do a routine check on their pipeline signage and markers.
This survey will allow TransCanada to provide enhanced protection of the pipeline from excavation, third party and other activities, Road Supt. Carla Schmidt told Commissioners.
