Open for business

COLERIDGE — Ken’s Corner Market opened its doors for business Thursday after being closed for about a year. Regg Pehrson, who has been instrumental in getting the store reopened, said restocking of the shelves is still under way and will take some time before everything is in place. Right now, everyone was in favor of getting the store open and back in business, even though everything might not be 100 percent ready, he said. The store will be open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 9 a.m. until noon, according to store manager Paula Dirks. “We will be serving hot breakfast sandwiches until 10 a.m. Monday through Saturday,

” Dirks said. “A coffee and a cappuccino machine will also be available.” A priority for the store is to have good quality meat available for the customers. Ken Mitchell is back to train Dirks, Colton Jansen and Brenda Hefner, in the meat department.
