Care center residents celebrate Valentine’s Day with family

Osmond General Care Center residents, families and friends celebrated Valentine’s Day on Wednesday afternoon of last week.

The tables in the activity center were decorated with red and pink hearts and Valentine chocolates. Following a welcome by hospital CEO Lon Knievel, the party began with the crowning of a Valentine queen. Bernie Stech was crowned by last year’s queen, LaVerne Acklie (shown in above photo).

Dallas Steckelberg entertained by playing many crowd favorites on the piano. The residents — Bernie, LaVerne and Lawrence Lauck — each received valentines, treats and flowers from family and friends. In addition, the hospital dietary department provided a luncheon for all present.
