Wausa Art students earn ribbons, medals, best of show in Conference contest

WAYNE — The Lewis and Clark Conference Art Show was held Feb. 22-26, at the Wayne State College Student Center, with 17 schools participating in the event. Wausa art students exhibited their charcoal drawings, oil painting, sculpture projects, batiks, relief projects, mixed-media, watercolor, colored pencil, and mask projects. Wausa received 25 ribbons, two medals, one Best of Show, and two Best of Category awards.

High school art students include, (back row) Jaidyn Petersen (one Blue Ribbon and 3 White Ribbons), John Rosberg (one Blue Ribbon), Aaron Gallup, and Carli Cobler( one Blue Ribbon and one White Ribbon); (middle row) Ainsley Nelson, Shelby Timmerman (one White Ribbon), Siera Brazel (one White Ribbon), Rachael Hubers (one Red Ribbon), and Samantha Roberts (one White Ribbon); (front row) Makenzie Koch, Daniel Timmerman (Best of Category and Lewis and Clark Gold Medal), Stephany Anderson (one Red Ribbon), Clare Lundberg, and Allison Barney (one Red Ribbon). Not pictured are Tabitha Schmit (one Red Ribbon), Cassie Bates, and Annie Zeng (Best of Category and one Blue Ribbon).
