Smorgasbord nears

WAUSA — Can you imagine the mouth-watering smell of potato sausage cooking? Or maybe you can imagine the delicious taste of rye bread! Those are just two items that you will find on the menu at the Wausa Smorgasbord held annually in the Community Auditorium.

This year the event will be held Oct. 26, with three serving options. You may choose the early shift starting at 5, the middle shift at 6 or the late shift at 7.

This will be a great night to sample all sorts of Swedish food, as well as watch some Swedish dancing while you wait your turn to get your food.

Smorgasbord Committee members have begun to call for servers, cookers, ticket sellers, and entertainment. It takes a whole community to make the Smorgasbord a success. Be sure to say yes to do your part.

If you are not called and would like to help, call one of the committee members to let them know that you are interested.

People who are unable to attend will be given the opportunity to have food delivered to them. More information will follow in the Wausa Gazette.

Smorgasbord profits go back into the community for various projects and scholarships. Because this is such a worthy community event, be sure to plan now how you can help for the 2013 Wausa Smorgasbord! Taks Mycket.
