Knox County history was on display at Courthouse

CENTER – A 150th birthday party for the State of Nebraska was held in Center over the weekend, June 24-25.
Joann Fischer, Knox County Clerk; Matt Fischer, Clerk of District Court, and Laura Hintz, Emergency Management Director, conducted tours through the Knox County Courthouse, Center for visitors Saturday and Sunday.
Signs had been posted on each office door showing the original county official up to the current county official elected to the office.
Visitors had a chance to view pieces of the history of Knox County while they were at the Courthouse.
Pictures of county schools that had been located in Knox County had been posted on a large display board. A 1934 Knox County Historical Society Map was also on display.
Also during the event, a history of the Knox County Courthouse was presented.
