Class logo contest underway

WAUSA — Nov. is National Education for Business Month and several activities have been planned for the students of Wausa Public School.  This is an ideal opportunity to demonstrate why a business education curriculum is so important to all students, regardless of what career they ultimately pursue.

The month started off with Personal Finance students celebrating Money Smart Week (Nov. 4-8) by presenting money tips to elementary students as well as to the sophomores.  Personal Finance and Accounting students will be competing nationally in the Finance Challenge. Students have a chance to win monetary prizes and t-shirts. The Nebraska Council on Economic Education promotes Money Smart Week and the Finance Challenge.

Nov. 15, Wayne State College students and teachers will be guest speakers. Their presentation will include a variety of finance topics. Business student professional dress and treat day is Nov. 22. Introduction to Digital Design students created a new Wausa Business Education logo/slogan and the winning design will be revealed Nov. 26. Vote for your favorite logo by visiting our school’s website. The deadline to vote is Nov. 25. And, finally, one business student will be selected as the “Business Student of the Month.” Criteria will be based on attendance and demonstration of professionalism.
