A Day for Heroes

Wausa’s annual Veterans Day program was held Nov. 11 at the school gym. Veterans saluted the flag during the Star Spangled Banner; Pastor Matt Norlen was the guest speaker; the high school band and elementary choir performed patriotic songs. Alyssa Anderson was announced the winner of the Voice of Democracy essay contest, while Brianna VanDeWalle received second.
