Raising the Curtain

HARTINGTON — Hartington Public School and Cedar Catholic High School are now in full swing with their One-Act Play competitions. Hartington took second place in the Lewis and Clark Conference Tournament at Wayne last week, while Cedar competed in the MidState Conference Festival at West Point. Hartington’s Eric Derickson, Adam Wortmann and Alec Fuelberth (top) perform a scene from  “Romeo, You Idiot.”  The Hartington performers took part in the District meet Tuesday in Wayne. Joslyn Wiebelhaus (below) plays the Snake Lady in Cedar’s production of “Bobby Wilson Can Eat His Own Face.” The Cedar troupe is performing today at the District meet in Wisner. Cedar has taken runner-up honors at Districts in three of the past four years.
