Wynot girls earn Hartington Tourney title

HARTINGTON — The Wynot Lady Blue Devils earned top honors in this weekend’s Hartington Tournament.
Wynot improved to 17-3 with the wins and was able to avenge an early season loss to Winside along the way.

Coach Tammy Wieseler said the Lady Devils are really hitting their stride right now.
“I am really proud of the way my team is playing right now. They are being aggressive and offensively smart,” she said. “Our defense is trusting one another and making great plays. It is always a good match when we play Winside. They have a great team.”
The Wynot defense was led in the contest by Bailey Kuchta’s 18 digs and Maggie Schulte’s six blocks.
