Wynot falls to three-pointers

Wynot – A stubborn Wynot Blue Devil defense held the high-flying Omaha Nation Chiefs in check for three quarters before the visitors finally found the range from long distance and were able to put away their host 49-35.
The game featured great defense at times and ragged play sometimes as the two teams combined for 56 turnovers. Omaha Nation improved their record to 4-0 while Wynot fell to 3-3 on the season.
The Chiefs got a stellar performance from Delmar Parker who nailed five three pointers on his way to 25 points.

Wynot got double-figure scoring from Curtis Kathol with 13 points while Ryan Boeckman added 11 points in a losing effort.
Boeckman scored five points in the opening quarter but Macy got five points from Delmar Parker as the two teams struggled on the offensive end and remained tied 7-7 at the end of one period.
The Blue Devils would not score from the field in the second quarter but good defense and 9-15 freethrow shooting kept them in touch and they only trailed 17-16 at the half.
Delmar Parker started to heat up in the third quarter as he drained a pair of treys from the corner and the Chiefs went on a 10-6 run to build their lead to 27-22 after three periods.
Curtis Kathol would try and lead Wynot back in the fourth quarter connecting for eight points but Omaha Nation got two more three pointers from Parker and Rex Webster also contributed a trey from deep in the left corner and the Chiefs went on to earn the 48-35 win.
The Blue Devils next see action in the holiday tournament at Cedar Catholic when their first round opponent will be the Trojans.
