Wynot boys move to 2-1

Osmond — The Wynot Blue Devils improved their conference record to 2-1 with a 54-39 pounding of the Osmond Tigers Friday night.
Wynot built a 28-16 first-half lead and then held onto the lead in a rough and tumble second half for the win.
Wynot was paced by Ryan Heimes with 17 points and nine rebounds,

Ryan Eskens chipped in with nine points and Ryan Boeckman contributed eight points from his post position.
Zach Jones lea the team with six assists while Curtis Kathol had five assists for the night.

The Osmond Tigers got a solid 14-point performance from Bryce Johnson to lead his team on offense.
Ryan Heimes drained a three-pointer and Ryan Boeckman scored a quick six points in the first quarter as Wynot built a 15-9 early lead.
Pressure defense and 7-8 freethrow shooting by the Blue Devils resulted in a 13-7 second quarter run and they increased their lead to 28-16 at the half.
Intensity picked up and play got rough and physical on the defensive end in the second half.
Zach Jones hit a trey to open the second half for Wynot but Bryce Johnson scored five points for the Tigers as Osmond could not cut into the Blue Devil lead.
Four points each from Justin Boeckman and Ryan Eskens helped Wynot maintain their lead and earn the 54-39 win.
Wynot had another conference matchup on Tuesday when they traveled to Bloomfield to battle the Bees.
