Tigers lose close one to Randolph

OSMOND — The Osmond High School boys’ basketball team opened the season with a loss at home to Randolph 64-60 on Friday night, Dec. 2.

“Overall, I thought we played well,” said Coach Todd Schulze. “We took advantage of Randolph’s turnovers and earned 20 fast break points. Our scoring was about as balanced as it can be, with three players in double figures and two players finishing with nine points.

“Our bench was on point all night, delivering 24 points and nine rebounds. Alex Kumm and Keaton Timmerman really got us going during the game. Keaton was a frequent warrior on the glass, pulling down five offensive rebounds and creating a steal and transition lay-up that momentarily gave the Tigers the lead in the third quarter.
