Blue Devils roll to huge win over Lynch

WYNOT — The Wynot Blue Devils put the hammer down early at Lynch on Tuesday night.
The Blue Devils pulled away to a 25-6 first-quarter advantage as they cruised to the 50-point win.
Wynot’s record improved 16-1 with the 77-27 trouncing  while Lynch continues to struggle at 0-14.

Bryan Purviance was the one-man show for Lynch as he took scoring honors for the game with 21 points.
Wynot was led by Chris Schmidt with 12 points and five rebounds. Jackson Sudbeck drained four three-pointers for his 12 points and Nathan Wieseler had 10 points and seven rebounds for the Devils on offense. Koby Sudbeck led all rebounding with eight caroms.
Chris Schmidt got Wynot off to a fast start as he hit a pair of three pointers on his way to a seven-point first quarter. Koby Sudbeck controlled the offensive glass and helped with six points as the Blue Devils roared to a 25-6 lead after one quarter.
Lynch got four points from Purviance in the second quarter but Wynot’s offense was rolling. Five points by Brady Stratman and balanced scoring produced a 38-10 halftime lead for the Devils.
Filip Burbach came in off the bench in the third quarter and drained a pair of three-point bombs for Wynot.  Nathan Wieseler scored a couple of baskets in close and Wynot continued to build their lead to 53-17.
Bryan Purviance would explode for 10 points for Lynch in the fourth quarter but his team was facing an insurmountable lead. Wynot got a pair of threes from Jackson and a pair of regular field goals by John DeBlauw as they finished off the Eagles 77-27.
