Cardinals claim three medals at Winside meet

WINSIDE — It was a good day for the Randolph wrestling team Saturday, as three of four wrestlers came home with medals from the Winside Invitational.

Alex Schmit and Brandon Bloomquist both won their respective weight classes. Schmit claimed the 138-pound weight class with a four-win day, taking three victories on pins, highlighted by a 15-second fall against Trey Sucha of Niobrara/Verdigre.

Bloomquist was spotless in the 145-pound bracket, winning all four of his matches on first-period pins, capped by a 65-second fall over Isaac Cliff of Wayne.
