Board meeting

The board of Trustees of the Village of Belden met in regular session on October 6, 2015, at the Library Building. Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Wobbenhorst.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Wobbenhorst, Stapelman, Campbell, Huetig and Patefield.

MEMBERS ABSENT:None

VISITORS PRESENT:Jerry Gross

Motion to approve bills by Huetig and seconded by Patefield.

Jody reported that the pool has been winterized.

Cathy reported that she did look into new christmas Decorations and presented several brochures. The board decided to table the idea for now, due to cost.

Robert reported that the new volleyball net had been taken down and stored for winter.

Jerry Gross asked if we want to take down the Q125 signs for the winter. The board will take this under consideration and let Jerry know if to take them down of leave them up.

Board discussed past water bills and water consumption. Board also discussed several water issues and the bill from P&E. Janice advised the board that P&E did look at the sewer and water concerns at the fire hall and has presented several ideas and possible solutions and quotes.

Janice reported that we did get a new franchise document from Huntel and Lance has reviewed. After discussion, Stapelman moved and Jody seconded a motion to set a 3% of base franchise fee for renewal of the agreement. Ayes: All. Nayes: None.

Kathy then moved and Jody seconded a motion to approve a new ordinance granting American Broadband/Huntel a new franchise agreement. Ayes: All. Nayes: None.

No further Business appearing meeting was adjourned to the call of the Chairman.
