Public notice is hereby given by the Planning Commission of the City of Randolph, Nebraska, that a public hearing will be held at 7.00 p.m. on December 5, 2016, at 212 E Broadway, Randolph, Nebraska.
Public notice is hereby also given by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Randolph, Nebraska, that a public hearing will be held at 6:45 p.m. on December 7, 2016, at 212 E Broadway, Randolph, Nebraska.
The purpose of both hearings is to obtain public comment prior to the review and consideration of a proposed amendment to the redevelopment plan for the City of Randolph, including a specific redevelopment project. An agenda for both meetings, kept continuously current, is available for public inspection at the Office of the City Clerk at 212 E. Broadway, Randolph, Nebraska.
The property which is the subject of this notice and of the public hearing is the property generally located 208 West Wayne Street, Randolph, Nebraska and is legally described as follows:
East Half (E½) of Lot Fourteen (14), Lot Fifteen (15), Block Twelve (12), Original – Randolph, Randolph, Cedar County, Nebraska.
All interested parties shall be afforded at each public hearing a reasonable opportunity to express their views regarding the proposed redevelopment plan amendment. Minutes
October 25, 2016
The Cedar County Commissioners met in the Boardroom of the Cedar County Courthouse at 8:30 am and the meeting was called to order as advertised, with Jerry Wiese, David McGregor and Terry Pinkelman answering roll call. Also present County Clerk David Dowling. Chairman McGregor stated the open meetings laws are posted on the wall for public inspection.
Motion was made by Pinkelman and seconded by Wiese to approve the agenda. Motion carried with a 3 to 0 vote. Motion was made by Wiese and seconded by Pinkelman to approve the minutes from the last meeting. Motion carried with a 3 to 0 vote.
Zoning Administrator, Dave Sudbeck presented 8 building permits for board review and approval. Applications were from Dennis and Lori Hoebelheinrich, Merle Tramp, Aaron Fuelberth, Dybdal Farms, Stacy Barnes, Kenny Lammers, Bernie Asbra and Eric Pinkelman. After reviewing the applications a motion was made by McGregor and seconded by Pinkelman. Motion carried with a 3 to 0 vote.
Road Supt., Carla Schmidt stated mine safety training will be held on November 8th for all road employees in each district. Schmidt presented an underground permit application for fiber optic lines for 2 miles on 887 road from the county line. Schmidt also presented a resolution to allow board chair to sign contract. Motion was made by Pinkelman and seconded by McGregor to approve and sign resolution 16-12. Motion carried with a 3 to 0 vote. Pinkelman talked about a project to put rural water to the Cedar View Deer Lodge located in the Ponderosa subdivision and stated there is some problems with right of way access and also access on private property. Pinkelman presented a map of rural water lines that are currently in road right of way. Board agreed to contact the water district to obtain maps and agreements to place lines in county road right of way.
Veterans Service Officer, Scott Stanton met with the board to give an update on the office and operations with the Veterans Administration and stated the procedures have been changing and have gotten more difficult to complete for veterans service assistance for local veterans. Stanton stated he has several training sessions he will have to attend.
Special Liquor license application from Nissen Wine was reviewed for an event at the Corps of Discovery Welcome Center for December 10 of this year. Motion was made by Pinkelman and seconded by Wiese to approve the application as presented by Nissen Wine for December 10. Motion carried with a 3 to 0 vote.
Pinkelman reported on Northstar Mental Health meeting he attended and stated the group has been considering lowering the amount of aid administered make be reduced in the future. Wiese reported that Region IV Mental Health also has been talking of reductions in benefits in the area.
With no further business or agenda items the meeting was declared adjourned by the chairman.
