Minutes
Regular Meeting
November 21, 2016
7:30 p.m.
Dan Thoene called the meeting to order. Present were board members, Charles Kramer, Tom Pinkelman, Doug Stevens and Roger Becker. Also present were Jerry Pollard, Village Attorney, and Diane Limoges, Village Clerk.
Charles Kramer made a motion to accept the minutes of the October 17 Regular Meeting. Tom Pinkelman seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Tom Pinkelman made a motion to accept the Treasurers Report. Roger Becker seconded the motion. Motion carried.
The following claims were submitted for payment: Arts Garbage Service, $1,206.95, Cedar County News, $29.58, Cedar Knox Public Power, $686.56, Cedar Knox Rural Water Project, $1,635.25, Gerhold Concrete, $285.38. Gilmore & Associates, $244.00, Great Plains Comm., $76.56, Hunhoff, JOE CPA, $1,305.00, Joslin Construction, $12,050.00, NE Public Health Environmental Lab., $515.00, One Call Concepts, Inc., $9.09, Peitz GMC Service, $22.06, Plumbing & Electric, $165.00, Pollard, Jerry, Atty., $75.00, Robertson Implement Co. $3,000.00, Thoene, Dan, $31.32, US Post Office, $1.36, West-Hodson Lumber, $985.00, Wiebelhaus Service, $41.00, Limoges, Diane, $606.72, Wubben, David, $132.76. Charles Kramer made a motion to accept the claims as submitted. Tom Pinkelman seconded the motion.
Roger Becker made a motion to accept the Audit Waver from the Auditor of Public Accounts in lieu of having an audit preformed. Tom Pinkelman seconded the motion. Voting members voting in favor included, Dan Thoene, Tom Pinkelman, Charles Kramer, Doug Stevens, and Roger Becker with no one voting against.
Doug Stevens made a motion the cash in CD #13109 when it comes up for renewal. Roger Becker seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Tom Pinkelman has agreed to the interim maintenance position while the job is advertised and applications reviewed.
Tom Pinkelman made a motion to adjourn. Charles Kramer seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned @8:10 pm.

VILLAGE OF ST. HELENA
Minutes
October 10, 2016
The Regular Meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of St. Helena, Nebraska was held on October 10, 2016 at 6:30 P.M. at the St. Helena Village Hall. Notice of the meeting was given in advance by posting in three public places within the Village of St. Helena.
Present were Chairman Victor Paltz, Trustees Jody Albrecht, Loren Bender and Audrey Pinkelman. Clerk Paula Pinkelman. Clair Wieseler was absent.
Minutes of the September 12, 2016 meeting were read and approved with a motion by Victor Paltz and seconded by Jody Albrecht with all in favor.
A motion was made by Jody Albrecht and seconded by Loren Bender to approve the financial report as read with all in favor.
The following claims were submitted for payment for the month October 2016: General Fund: St. Helena Store $303.47, Cedar-Knox PPD $285.45, Northeast NE News Co. $31.96, United States Treasury $284.85, Paula Pinkelman $323.22, Victor Paltz $169.66. Water Fund: Cedar-Knox PPD $101.14, Mike’s Electric $6,537.22, Victor Paltz $202.50. Sewer Fund: Village of Wynot $780.00, Cedar-Knox PPD $16.50, NE Dept of Revenue $122.75, Victor Paltz $ 37.92.
A motion was made by Audrey Pinkelman and seconded by Jody Albrecht to pay the bills for this month with all in favor.
The hole in the street by the Social Club has been patched.
Victor Paltz will get a quote on what it will cost to have dead trees and branches removed and/or trimmed up in the Village Park.
The St. Helena Village Board of Trustees has been in contact with the Wynot Fire Department. The fire department would like the Village of St. Helena to help cover operating expenses for the new fire hall located within the Village of St. Helena. The matter will be discussed at our next meeting.
The Wynot Fire Department has acquired an additional pumper truck for the St. Helena location. The truck qualifies the location for insurance reductions which will save residents and business owners on their insurance premiums. The clerk will send out a letter to all residents and business owners notifying them of this change.
The next meeting will be November 14, 2016 at 6:30 P.M. With no further business to discuss Loren Bender made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:45 P.M. and Jody Albrecht seconded the motion with all in favor.
