Regular Meeting

August 17, 2015

7:30 p.m.

Dan Thoene called the meeting to order. Present were Board Members, Charles Kramer, Tom Pinkelman, Roger Becker, and Doug Stevens. Also present were Jerry Pollard, Village Attorney, Diane Limoges, Village Clerk, and Dave Wubben, Maintenance.

Tom Pinkelman made a motion to accept the minutes of the July 20 meeting. Roger Becker seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Doug Stevens made a motion to accept the Treasures Report. Roger Becker seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Doug Stevens reported that Cedar Knox Public Power will just bill the lighting for the new Village sign as an additional street light.

Two CD’s are up for renewal. The one is already at 30 months and it was agree to leave that as is. Tom Pinkelman made a motion to transfer CD #100013108 to a 4 year CD. Doug Stevens seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Dan Thoene questioned whether or not above ground pools in town needed to be fenced. The current ordinance just states pools. This ordinance will be revised and addressed at the September meeting.

The board agree to hold the Budget Meeting on August 31, @ 7:30 pm in the Village Hall. The only concern for the budget was the possibility of transferring 2/3rd of the Savings/CD currently listed in Parks to the General and Street accounts.

Board members were made aware of a situation involving the EPA. An individual representing himself as the Village Clerk wrote a letter to the EPA regarding the Fordyce Coop’s run-off problem. The EPA was advised that while the Village is aware of the issue, the Village Board was neither aware of this letter, nor did the Village Clerk send said letter. The Village further advised the EPA that the Coop is aware of the issue and is working to alleviate the problem.

Charles Kramer made a motion to adjourn. Tom Pinkelman seconded the motion. Motion carried.

VILLAGE BOARD

WEDNESDAY, August 12, 2015, 7:00 P.M.

The regular monthly meeting of the Village Board of Wynot was called to order at the Wynot Town Hall on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. by Chairperson John Eskins Jr. Notice of the meeting was posted in three (3) public places on Tues, July 21, 2015, at 1 p.m., namely the Wynot Town Hall, Wynot Post Office, and the Cedar Security Bank. Roll call indicated members present: John Eskins, Charles Jones, Ron Rolfes, Jim Hans, and Maurice. Also present were Rose Rolfes, Village Clerk/Treasurer, Dave Koch, Maintenance; and Jody Koch. Ron Charles Jones made a motion to approve the Consent Agenda including the following: Minutes of the July 8, 2015, Regular Village Board Meeting; Village of Wynot’s Treasurer’s Report for July/Aug. 2015; and the Claims attached hereto, Ronald Rolfes seconded the motion. Motion Carried.

Building Permits

A building permit was read by Jody Koch. Motion by Maurice Ketter to approve the building permit, Ron Rolfes seconded it. Motion carried.

Tree Dump

Discussion was held on currant tree dump. Mike Steffen has closed hole and dug a new one. Trees and wood only may be put in dump. Dump is open Friday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. to Village Residents only. The gate will be locked the rest of the time. If key is needed alternate times residents may contact the maintenance person, or a board member.

Dog Ordinance

Dog Ordinance was read for the third time. Motion was made Charles Jones to accept ordinance 15-001, Ron Rolfes seconded it.

Customer Appreciation Night

Discussion was held on Customer Appreciation Night. It was decided to have it Sat. Sept. 26, 2015.

ADJOURN

Ron Rolfes made a motion to adjourn at 8:15 p.m. Charles Jones seconded the motion; motion carried.
