Management company asks Pierce County participation

PIERCE — The Pierce County Board of Commissioners met Monday, May 13, and for the first time in several months, dealt with a normal business agenda such as underground crossings, liquor license and a presentation of a benefit management plan.

Dustin Well and Daniel Duren with Benefit Management came to the board to explain an employee and benefit management plan that they believe would benefit the county. They represent Benefit Management of Lincoln.

The two asked for permission to send a questionnaire to all county employees concerning their past health problems. The visitors said they envision Nebraska Association of County Officials rates going forward will be higher and they (Benefit Management) can offer a better solution.

The board approved a motion to authorize and approve Benefit Management to send out a health questionnaire to the county employees to fill out if they so choose.
