City council has full agenda, discusses park issues

OSMOND — The Osmond City Council met Monday, June 11, with a full agenda. Discussed were many issues involving the city parks, including reports on vandalism; pay schedules for Summer Youth coaches and a donation to softball teams, purchase of a diving board for the pool and issues regarding golf carts on city streets.

Orchard, Park Issues Discussed

Norman Lorenz discussed with the council a sidewalk project that would connect the gazebo and fruit orchard to Poolside Park. After discussion regarding heavy traffic and a curving street used by semi-trucks and trailers, the sidewalk project was tabled until council members can meet with the park board and walk the area to determine safety issues.
