Services held Wednesday for Marlin ‘Smoky’ Schultze

OSMOND — Services for Marlin L. “Smoky” Schultze, 84, of Osmond were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Osmond with Rev. Glen Emery officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery in rural Osmond. Military rites were provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7838, American Legion Post 326 of Osmond and Sons of the American Legion of Osmond. Pallbearers were grandsons Steven Schultze, Nickolas Schultze, Bruce Schultze, Mitchell Schultze, Matthew Jesse, Levi Gutz and Seth Gutz. Honorary pallbearers were Don Streich, Marvin Koehler, Carrol Schultze and Dennis Haselhorst. Organist was Lori Koehler and soloist was Duane Christiansen, singing “The Lord’s Prayer.” Congregational hymns were “Lift High The Cross” and “I’m But A Stranger Here.”

Visitation was held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, also at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
