Political filings now complete; school board race heats up

PIERCE — Following the final filing date on Thursday, March 1, the slate is now complete for the 2018 primary election.

In the Osmond filings, Neil Wattier has thrown his hat into the ring for city council, joining Dan Timmerman and incumbents Dennis Haselhorst and Missy Hoppe. Meanwhile, the school board race is heating up with a number of new filings. In addition to incumbent Aaron von Rentzell and newcomers Lori Wingert and LaDonna Stanosheck, seven more Osmond residents are looking to fill a spot on the school board: Jodi Aschoff, Erin Schultze, Jason Bolz, Dan Heiman, Jennifer Wingert, Eric J. Wattier and Tyler Gansebom.
