Full bus helps inaugurate community foundation

An Arrow Stagelines bus was filled to its capacity of 54 Saturday night for a trip to Roger and Joyce Tacey’s Niobrara Hermitage for a steak dinner, tour and to see videos about other Nebraska towns and their success with community foundations.

An unexpected guest was waiting on the bus — former President Theodore Roosevelt, portrayed by Darrel Draper — who greeted and entertained guests during their two-hour stay with the Taceys. The President recalled his exploits in the midwestern plains and spoke of stewardship to community as one of the best gifts Americans can give to their small towns.
