42R School board reorganizes

OSMOND — The Monday, Jan. 8, meeting of District 42R Board of Education began with reorganization. The officers were all reelected as follows: Michelle Reikofski, president; Mark Moes, vice president, and Paul Koehler, secretary-treasurer. Teri Folkers was appointed recording secretary.

Principal Kurt Polt advised that report cards for the second quarter and first semester have been sent out, and that there will be no school for students on Monday, Jan. 22, for a teacher in-service. Other upcoming events included the junior high basketball contests held that evening, Jan. 8; speech contest at Pierce, Jan. 13; conference wrestling at Laurel, Jan. 18; conference honor band at Wayne State College, Jan. 20, and conference basketball tournament on Jan. 26. A junior high basketball contest scheduled for Jan. 22 against Plainview has been moved to Jan. 29 because of a conflict with the winter workshop.
