Terry Lee Graf

LAUREL — Terry Lee Graf, 70, Laurel, died April 9, 2018, at his residence.

Visitation was April 11 at the United Methodist Church, Laurel.

Funeral Services were April 12 at the United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Dave York officiating. Burial was at the Belden cemetery.

Pallbearers were Greg Lackas, Denny Morgan, Lyle Van Cleave, Michael Hoeppner, Brian Hoeppner and Justin Hoeppner.

Honorary pallbearers were Terry’s grandchildren and greatgranddaughter.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home, Coleridge.

Terry Lee Graf was born July 13, 1947, in Wayne, to Kermit and Lois (Lubberstedt) Graf. He graduated from Belden High School in 1965. Terry married Kay Arp in 1966 and they had three children. April 30, 1982, Terry married Betty (Mann) Carr. Blending their families together they had five children, Patricia Graf, Scott Carr, Rodney Graf, James Graf and Lisa Carr. Terry worked for Fredrickson Oil, Wayne, before moving to Plainview to start his own business – Plainview “66” Service. He sold cars for 40 years working for Watson Motors, Plainview; Kersten Auto, Bloomfield; Mike Perry Chevrolet, Wayne; Arnie’s Ford and Mercury, Wayne; Jenny’s Chevrolet, Norfolk; Shaffer’s Chevrolet, Norfolk, and retiring from Pearson Motor Company, Hartington, in 2012.

For many years Terry owned a 1971 Chevelle SS that he took to many car shows. He also got pleasure from working in his yard and garden.

He is survived by his wife, Betty, Laurel; three children, Patricia Graf and Scott Sorensen, Fremont; Scott and Coleen Carr, Columbia, S.C.; Lisa (Carr) and husband, Steve Hansen, Laurel; daughter-in-law, Melissa Graf, Laurel; four grandchildren, Ashley Whitehead, Morgan Hansen, Logan Hansen and Baylie Graf; great-granddaughter Aleeyah Whitehead; two sisters, Renee and Jerome Hoeppner, Laurel, and Cheri and Kenny Hintz, Belden.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit and Lois Graf; and two sons, Rodney and Jim Graf.
