BELDEN — Suzette Kae Johnson, 61, Belden, died July 2, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center, Sioux City, Iowa.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m., July 6, at Johnson Funeral Home, Randolph.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., July 7, at United Presbyterian Church, Laurel, with Rev. Charity Potter officiating.
Interment will be in the Belden Cemetery, Belden.

Suzette was born Jan. 11, 1950, at Omaha, the adopted daughter of Alfred and Anita (Bush) Jugel. She attended Wayne County rural school near Wayne and graduated from Laurel High School in 1968. She then graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse from Nebraska Christian College, Norfolk, and began work at Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Randolph. Suzette married Lowell Johnson May 15, 1971, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Norfolk. The couple lived in Germany for one and one-half years, while her husband was serving in the military. The couple celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in May 2011.
After returning from Germany, Suzette was employed at the Wayne Nursing Home, Laurel Care Center, and for the past 33 years Hillcrest Care Center, Laurel.
She was a member of United Presbyterian Church, Laurel, and United Presbyterian Ladies Aid; and the Belden American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids going to ball games and birthday parties.
Suzette is survived by her husband of 40 years, Lowell Johnson, Belden; two sons and their wives, Todd and Jill Johnson, Correctionville, Iowa, and Andy and Sara Johnson, North Platte; five grandchildren, Colton, Landon and Lauren Johnson, Correctionville, Iowa; and Abigail and Kenneth Johnson, North Platte; and three step sisters, Judy and Eldon Kassebaum, Hebron; Peggy and Ron Eades, Norfolk; and Dianna and Jim Crabb, Tilden.
She was preceded in death by her parents and step mother.
