Obituary – Susan R. (Kathol) Kingsley

FREMONT — Susan R. Kingsley, 57, Fremont, lost her fight with ALS Feb. 18, 2012, at her home in Fremont.
Visitation, with a Vigil Service and Rosary, was Feb. 23 at Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont.
Funeral Mass was Feb. 24 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Fremont, with Rev. Jim Keiter officiating.
Burial was Feb. 27, at Calvary Cemetery, Fremont.

Susan was born March 16, 1954, in Yankton, S.D., to Rudolph and Lillian (Lauer) Kathol. She grew up in Bow Valley and attended Northeast Community College, Norfolk, where she obtained her LPN license. She then moved to Fremont and worked for the Fremont Area Medical Center in the Radiation/Oncology Center for 35 years. Susan Kathol married Russell Kingsley Sept. 27, 1975, in Bow Valley.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Fremont. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and supporting her children in activities.
Survivors include: husband, Russell; son, Adam Kingsley, Munich, Germany; daughters and spouses, Jenny and Isaac Paden, Fremont; Mary and Joseph Policky, Blair; and Kara Kingsley, Omaha; mother, Lillian Kathol, Hartington; brothers, Randy and Jane Kathol, Hartington; Galen and Doree Kathol, Omaha; Jeff Kathol, Hartington; and Todd and Suzanne Kathol, Omaha; sisters, Sharon and Howard Soukup, Sioux Falls, S.D.; Jill and Randy Belt, Wayne; Judy and Vern Potts, Yankton, S.D.; Betty and Chuck Dreesen, Lakewood, Colo.; and LouAnn and Terry Dendinger, Coleridge; three grandchildren, Joslyn Policky, Kenzie Policky and Alison Paden; and future baby Policky.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rudy Kathol; and parents-in-law, Alvin and Mary Teutsch.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to fight ALS.
