LAUREL — Larry Harrington, 59, Laurel, died March 5, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center, Sioux City, Iowa.
Visitation and a Vigil service were March 7 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Laurel.
Mass of Christian Burial was March 8 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Laurel, with Rev. James F. McCluskey officiating.


Honorary Pallbearers were Jamie Wiebold, Dennis Christensen, Steve Manstedt, Rich Erwin, Rich Brandow, Daryl Michael, Neal Pitts, Brent Fickbohm, Rod Graf and Rolly DeLong.
Arrangements were under the direction of Hasemann Funeral Home, Laurel.
Larry P. Harrington was born Jan. 4, 1952, at Sioux City, Iowa, to Douglas and Sally Ann (Gant) Harrington. He graduated from Laurel-Concord High School in 1970 and Universal Technical Institute, Omaha, in 1998. He served in the U.S. Army from 1972-1975, part of that time was in Vietnam. Larry married Karen Fick July 17, 1982, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Laurel. The couple lived their entire married life in Laurel.
Larry was owner of Circle H Service and was later employed at Briar Cliff University, Sioux City, Iowa.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Laurel; Wayne V.F.W.; Laurel American Legion, and was former District #3 Legion Commander.
Larry enjoyed woodworking, motorcycles, hunting, spending time with family and friends, and most of all, time with his grandson, Dillon.
Larry is survived by his wife, Karen; children, Tina and husband, Matt Munter, Conifer, Colo., and Pat Harrington, Fremont; grandson, Dillon Munter; brother and wife, Tim and Karen Harrington, Mitchell, S.D.; sisters, Jan Real, Vancouver, Wash., and Lisa and husband, Fred Hoffman, Wisner; niece, MaryAnne Harrington, St. Louis, Mo.; nephews, Jason Real, Denver, Colo.; Douglas Ekberg, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Isaac Harrington, Mitchell, S.D.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
