SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Josephine J. Ausdemore, 90, Sioux Falls, S.D., formerly of Crofton, died July 9, 2011, at the Covington Heights Nursing Home, Sioux Falls.
Visitation was July 11 one hour prior to services at the Wintz Funeral Home, Crofton.
Funeral Services were July 11 at the Wintz Funeral Home, Crofton, with the Rev. Timothy Lange officiating.
Burial was at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Crofton.

Pallbearers were Harold Goeden, LeRoy Goeden, Merle Schieffer, Vernon Schieffer, Don Guenther and Daryl Lammers.
Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren, Britni Ausdemore, Erica Townsley, Michael Ausdemore and Katelin Ausdemore.
Josephine J. Ausdemore was born March 6, 1921, in Menominee, to William and Anna (Kuchta) Goeden. She attended school at Menominee. She married Emil W. Ausdemore June 13, 1951, in Menominee. They had four sons, Kenneth, Daniel, Dennis and Marlin. They lived on a farm eight miles northwest of Crofton. Josephine enjoyed raising a family, farm life, working part-time at M-Tron and Freeman’s, Yankton. She also did volunteer work at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Josephine loved taking trips to the Minnesota Twins baseball games; Corpus Christi, Texas; and Florida on a Caribbean Cruise. In 1982, Josephine moved to New Richmond, Wis., after living in Yankton and Crofton. In 1992, she moved to Sioux Falls, S.D. At 89 years of age, she still drove her car and worked part-time at Arby’s, Sioux Falls. She enjoyed working at fast food restaurants both in Sioux Falls and in St. Paul, Minn.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth and wife, Pam Ausdemore, Sioux Falls, S.D.; Daniel Ausdemore, Crofton; Marlin and wife, Leisa Ausdemore, Lincoln; grandchildren, Britni Ausdemore, Erica Townsley, Michael Ausdemore and Katelin Ausdemore; many nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Anna M. Ausdemore, Bloomfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emil, in 2003; son, Dennis, in 1978; grandson, Brandon, in 2003; sister, Helen Schieffer; brother, John Goeden.
