Obituary – Jack Blotz

ORVILLE, Calif. — Jack Blotz, 83, Orville, Calif., died Nov. 15, 2011, at Orville, following a stroke.

Jack was born Jan. 28, 1928, on a farm north of Randolph, to Frank and Maude Blotz. Jack married Betty Hokamp Sept. 14, 1947, at Loveland, Colo. The couple farmed near Randolph until moving to California in 1955, where Jack was involved in the timber industry with later years finding him driving log trucks into the mountains of California.
His hobbies included golfing, 55 years of building and flying his own airplanes, and spending time with his family and friends.
Jack is survived by his wife of 63 years; two daughters, Deb Knuttila, Fernley, Nev., and Diane Bredenstine, Yreka, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; one brother, Don, Discovery Bay, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters.
