Obituary – Frances Lageschulte

LINCOLN — Frances Lageschulte, age 95, Lincoln, passed away February 7, 2012. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held February 10, 2012 at 9:00 am at Eastmont Towers, 6315 O Street, Lincoln, Nebraska. There will be a private burial in Randolph, where family will lay her to rest afterward.

Frances was born to Frank and Mabel (Bennett) Lageschulte on a farm southwest of Randolph, Nebraska. She attended country school Pierce County District 28 and Randolph High School, Waynes Teacher College, she then went on to the University of Nebraska, and attended Northwest Business College in Portland Oregon. She worked as an accountant for 27 yrs in Omaha, and then moved to the Weese Farm to help her Sister Evelyn Weese on Adams St., just outside of Lincoln.  She was an active member of The Sharon Extension Club, Women’s Board of Bryan Hospital, Links, Waverly Grange, and Chapter AI P.E.O., Lifetime member of the National Historic Society,  and served  as Assistant Superintendent at the Lancaster Country Fair. She was a member and served at church wherever she was.  Randolph Methodist, Central United Presbyterian Church in Omaha, and Warren United Methodist Church in Lincoln.  Her Sister Evelyn Weese and she donated the Weese farm to the National Historic Society to become a Living History Farm.  She was a very kind person, well respected and witty.  She is preceded in death by her sister Arlene White. She is survived by her sister Evelyn Weese, and numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
