Florence Irene Kaiser

CROFTON — Florence Irene Kaiser, 85, Crofton, died March 20, 2011, at the Creighton Care Center, Creighton.
Visitation will be on March 23, 4-8 p.m., with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m., at the Wintz Funeral Home, Crofton, and will continue Thursday at church, one hour prior to services.
Mass of Christian Burial will be March 24, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Crofton, with the Rev. Michael Schmitz officiating.
Burial will be at the St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Crofton.


Pallbearers will be Adisa Formo, Liz Wrobleski, Ben Kaiser, Troy Guenther, Krista Bailey, Ross Kaiser, Sara Goodwater and Jaxon Guenther.
Florence Irene Kaiser was born Oct. 22, 1925, in Crofton, to William and Elizabeth (Mueller) Thunker. She grew up and lived in Crofton all of her life and graduated from Crofton High School. She married Andrew F. Kaiser Oct. 22, 1945, in Crofton. Andrew and Florence farmed southwest of Crofton until moving into town in 2002. Andrew died Feb. 26, 2005, at the age of 83.
Florence was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, the Ladies Guild, and the We-Fu Club.
Survivors include her four children and their spouses, Richard and Carolyn Kaiser, Bloomfield; Kay and Larry Haas, Yankton, S.D.; Donald and Kari Kaiser, Yankton, S.D.; Pat and Robert Formo, Yankton, S.D.; eight grandchildren, Krista Bailey, Troy Guenther, Timothy Guenther, Ross Kaiser, Sara Goodwater, Liz Wrobleski, Ben Kaiser, Adisa Formo; five step grandchildren Beth Leombruno, Sarah O’Farrell, Nick Haas, Bob Formo-Burns, Jessica Formo; 14 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Andrew; grandson, Timothy Guenther; five brothers and spouses, William and Leona Thunker, Raymond and Leona Thunker, Arthur and Regina Thunker, Ronald and Betty Thunker, and Edmund and Frances Thunker; and three sisters and their spouses, Alma and Arnold Bruns, Lucille and Henry Lowin, and Angela and Louis Schumacher.
