Obituary – Danny Kuchta

Daniel J. “Danny” Kuchta, age 54, of Aten, Nebraska, died Saturday, December 1, 2007 at his residence after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Memorial services will be at 7:00 PM, on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in , South Dakota with Chaplain Mary Hochstein officiating.  Inurnment will be on Thursday, December 6, 2007, in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Yankton.  Visitation is one hour prior to the memorial service on Wednesday.

Honorary pallbearers will be Members of BAC. Local No. 2 and all Danny’s Friends

Danny was born on May 17, 1953, to Leonard and Erna (Pinkelman) Kuchta in Yankton, South Dakota.  He attended Elementary School in Menominee, Nebraska and graduated from Crofton High School.  After graduating he worked as a bricklayer masonry all his life in Yankton.  He started working with Leland Hochstein and later for Larry Dooley Masonry.  In 1993, he started working for Wayne Pasco Masonry now known as Vince Kirschenman Masonry.  Danny married Dianne Lane on June 29, 1978, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  He was an active member in the BAC. Local No.2 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and Blue Ribbon.  He loved spending time with all his friends and family especially his twin nieces Miranda and Marissa.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Dianne of Aten, Nebraska; two stepchildren, Lisa (Bob) Albon Jr. of San Diego, California and Richard (Kellie) Chavis of Yankton; four grandchildren, Alexandra and Robert III Albon of San Diego and Ryan and Michael Chavis of Yankton; brother, Michael Kuchta and his family of Yankton; and two sisters, Sharon Thoene of Yankton and Elaine (Brian) Painter and their twin daughters, Miranda and Marissa.

He is preceded in death by his parents and little brother, Kenny.
