Obituary – Carrie Dahl

Laurel — Carrie Dahl, 90, Laurel, died Feb. 22, 2012, at the Hillcrest Care Center, Laurel.
Visitation was Feb. 25, prior to service time, at United Lutheran Church, Laurel.
Funeral services were Feb. 25 at United Lutheran Church, Laurel, with Rev. Marc Rakow officiating.
Pallbearers were Kim Sudbeck, Steve Sudbeck, Brett Graverholt, Dave Graverholt, Jim Lund, Benjamin Dahl, Nicholas Dahl and Christoffer Dahl.
Interment was in the Laurel Cemetery, Laurel.
Arrangements were under the direction of Hasemann Funeral Home, Laurel.

Carrie M. Dahl was born March 5, 1921, at Laurel to Hans Christian “Chris” and Clara Tomina “Minnie” (Olsen Thomsen) Graverholt. She was the second born to her family and had three brothers. She lived her entire life at Laurel. Carrie married Darrell T. Dahl, Feb. 13, 1947, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Laurel. Following her marriage, Carrie was employed as a telephone operator and later at the dry goods store in Laurel.
Carrie was a member of the United Lutheran Church, Laurel.
She enjoyed her pets, reading, sewing, watching television and movies.
Carrie is survived by two sons and wives, Tom and Cindi Dahl, Papillion, and Dr. Lee and Kayleen Dahl, Laurel; three grandsons, Benjamin (Susan), Nicholas (Marisa) and Christoffer (Allison); four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Colton, Brayton and Graham; nieces and nephews; and special “daughter,” Audrey (George) Hinrichs.
Carrie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darrell, in 2000; and brothers, Carsten, Martin and Kai Thomsen.
